Roastery Manager
Employment: Full-time (Hourly Contract)
Hours: 4 day week, 35-45 hours/week
Remuneration: €17.00 per hour (equivalent to €35k per annum)
Location: Upper Cloosh, Oughterard, Co. Galway, H91 NW83
Start Date: January 2026
Responsibilities
The Roastery Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the roastery and ensuring all orders are packed and dispatched on time. The Roastery Manager is the main point of contact for web shop customer queries and subscription admin.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Managing and fulfilling orders, and ensuring customers receive their coffee on time
· Answering customer queries and providing excellent customer service
· Organising logistics and courier collections/bookings including tracking shipments
· Manually entering orders into Shopify where necessary and instructing accounts to invoice customers on credit
· Managing the customs paperwork and documentation for international shipments
· Creating the production schedule for the roasting team as per Shopify orders
· Labelling and packing bags
· Monitoring roastery supplies - ordering when needed
· Managing the Production Assistant(s) on the packing line
· Assisting the production team; preparing coffee for roasting, handling coffee sacks, weighing coffee, cleaning buckets, ensuring protocols are adhered to
· Looking for opportunity to improve and streamline our operations
· Ensuring cleaning records and pest control records are up to date and maintained
· Managing our subscription service and its administration in the Recharge App. Responding to emails and customer queries in relation to the subscription.
· Be the point of contact for existing wholesale customers to help with any queries or issues they may have
The Candidate
You’re someone who enjoys physical, hands-on work and takes pride in doing things well. You work quickly and accurately, manage your time effectively, and bring a proactive, problem-solving attitude to your role. You’re a team player who’s always looking for ways to improve how things are done.
- Has experience in a fast-paced or physical work environment
- Works with care, precision, and attention to detail
- Communicates clearly and works well with others
- Is enthusiastic about learning and growing in the coffee industry
- (Bonus) Has experience as a barista or in coffee production
