We Donate 1% of sales
We’re committed to making decisions that benefit both the people and planet we depend on. That’s why we’re a proud member of 1% for the Planet - a growing, global movement of individuals and businesses coming together to protect the future of our planet. We give 1% of our sales (whether we’re in profit or not) to support the work of environmental non-profits.
Teamwork espresso
As global temperatures rise, coffee farming is becoming increasingly difficult and less profitable for many producers. Today, nearly half of coffee production comes from countries predicted to lose more than 60% of land suitable for growing coffee by 2050. World Coffee Research is a non-profit organisation providing farmers with the tools, knowledge, and plants necessary to adapt to a changing climate. Together with our importing partners, Caravela, we’re donating €0.50 from every kilo of TEAMWORK Seasonal Espresso sold, to support their brilliant work.
Reusable packaging
We offer local customers the option to receive their coffee in reusable buckets. This scheme has allowed us to reduce single use packaging consumption by approximately 40% for Galway customers. If you'd like to get involved, we would love to hear from you!
Carbon Negative by 2025
To reduce our environmental footprint, we’ve teamed up with the carbon auditing company Zevero. Their expertise has given us a better understanding of the size and scope of our carbon emissions and how we would effectively go about reducing them. Through our continued partnership with Hometree, our goal is to plant double the amount of trees needed to offset our carbon footprint, while establishing and conserving native woodlands on the west coast of Ireland.
Foodcloud
Occasionally we’ll have coffee that does not meet our quality standards. The roast might be slightly off target, or the green coffee did not meet our expectations upon arrival or after storage. Although not perfect, this coffee is usually way too good to go to waste. Since 2021 we’ve been working with FoodCloud, to donate this coffee to local charities and food banks.
