All Natural is our year-round seasonal filter roast, showcasing coffees processed using the traditional natural method. These coffees are sourced from regions where natural processing is either a long-standing tradition or a practical choice due to limited access to water and/or processing infrastructure.

The natural, or ‘dry’, process involves drying the coffee as whole cherries, resulting in a bold, fruity, and often fermented flavour profile. It’s also the least resource-intensive method. Compared to the washed process, natural processing can use up to 20 times less water, making it a more sustainable choice and significantly reducing the risk of water pollution on the farm.

We're kicking off this project with a stunning coffee from Buku Abel in Ethiopia. This is our second year sourcing from this washing station, and you can expect every bit of the bold, fruit-driven character we fell in love with last season.

Approximately 500 farmers deliver their cherries to the Buku Abel washing station for processing. The dried parchment must then be approved by the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX) checkpoint where its contents are graded and registered as exportable product before it is warehoused in Addis Ababa. The exporter, Highland Coffee Development then mills the coffee, prepares the export documentation and transports the coffee to the port in Djibouti. Our importer, Nordic Approach, ships the coffee to their warehouse in Belgium and arranges the onward transport to our roastery.
