This coffee comes from smallholder farmers cultivating 1–2 hectares of land around the Wete Konga washing station in Yirgacheffe. The farmers deliver their ripe cherries to the station, which is owned by Wete Ambela Coffee Export PLC. The station produces around 54 tons of coffee annually.This coffee has been processed using the washed method, which involves pulping the cherries to remove the mucilage, soaking the beans for 48 hours, and drying them on raised beds for 18–21 days.
Expect a juicy, layered cup with notes of apricot, jasmine, and orange. These beans are roasted specifically for espresso brewing, making them perfect for espresso machines or stovetop brewers.
