Located in the high altitudes of Gigante, Huila, Alcidez cultivates mostly Caturra variety coffee. Renowned for its exceptional cup quality, Caturra is also highly susceptible to leaf rust and other diseases, making it a challenging choice for many producers in the region. Alcidez, however, has remained committed to this variety, believing the extra effort and risk are worth it for the quality it delivers

Alcidez is a regular contributor to the Teamwork Espresso lots we source from Gigante, while also producing small, standout micro-lots like this one, which we roast separately. The prices we pay for Alcidez’s coffee are set by him, and for the last two years we’ve committed to purchasing all coffee he produces that scores above 86 points.

This lot offers flavours of plum, grape, orange, and nougat, creating a complex, creamy, and moreish cup. It’s perfect for brewing in larger batches, sharing with friends or enjoying as a post Christmas dinner pick-me-up!
