Five years after OREA’s first metal brewers, the O1 returns in steel—reimagined as a true milestone piece.

The OBSIDIAN STEEL O1 brings back the grungy matte-black aesthetic of the classic V2, now with double-wall stainless steel construction that helps retain heat in the brew chamber while remaining comfortable to hold.

Built from high-grade stainless steel, it features a glossy ceramic-coated interior, baked matte exterior, and unibody welded base for added stability and satisfying heft.

In the cup, it delivers the OREA profile you know and love: balanced, clear, clean, vibrant, and exceptionally consistent.

Designed for single-cup brewing, small doses, and travel, the O1 is compatible with both 155 Wave and 155 Flat filter styles.

More Clarity, More Consistency

The OREA’s iconic open-bottom design moves water through the coffee bed quickly and evenly, helping minimise stalling and channeling for more consistent extraction.

The result is a forgiving brewer that still gives you plenty of room to experiment. Adjust your grind, pouring technique, and agitation to explore different expressions of the same coffee. For greater control over flow, Flow Regulators are available separately.

Designed for Precision

The O1’s double-wall construction creates an insulating air pocket around the brew chamber, helping retain heat throughout the brew.

Its compact 155 format brings your kettle spout closer to the coffee bed, giving you greater precision over water placement and agitation. This makes the O1 particularly well suited to fine-tuning recipes and getting the most from high-quality coffee.

Obsidian Steel

The OBSIDIAN O1 combines high-grade stainless steel with a durable protective coating to create its distinctive matte-black finish. While designed for everyday use, the coating can be damaged by significant impacts or drops. This won’t affect the brewer’s safety or functionality.

To preserve the finish and keep your O1 looking its best, we recommend hand washing rather than using a dishwasher.
